Franklin, North Carolina _ The Franklin community is in mourning for Daniel James Highhouse, a cherished local who had a profound impact on many. Daniel, who was well-known for his gentle nature, unshakable faith, and silent kindness, has left his family, friends, and neighbors in deep mourning.
Sincere thanks are extended by the Highhouse family to everyone who prayed and supported Daniel along the way. A buddy penned a memorial to Daniel James Highhouse, saying, “Rest in peace.” “I want to thank everyone who prayed so fervently.” We ask that you keep the Highhouse family in your prayers.
Daniel was a man whose faith guided his life. His presence brought comfort to those around him, and his heart was always open to help others. Whether he was offering a listening ear, lending a hand in times of need, or volunteering quietly in the background, Daniel made an impact that will not be forgotten.
Dr. Highhouse, 40, was last seen around 1:30 p.m. on May 20, after concluding his shift at the CVS drugstore in Asheville, North Carolina. According to coworkers, Daniel left the store calmly and stated that he planned to go hiking to unwind. Concern developed quickly when he failed to come home, and his vehicle was eventually found abandoned near the trailhead at Chestnut Ridge, a remote and heavily forested preserve that borders the Carolina border.
Franklinโs mayor, local clergy, and community members have all expressed their deep sorrow at the loss. โDanielโs life was a quiet but powerful example of compassion, humility, and faith,โ said one community member. โHe leaves behind a legacy we should all strive to carry forward.โ
Family and friends will have the chance to commemorate Daniel’s life and the numerous ways he enhanced theirs when memorial services are announced soon. The town of Franklin is deeply grateful to have known him, even as they grieve.
Your support means more than words can say to everyone who keeps praying for the Highhouse family. May we all continue to remember Daniel’s life by treating one another with kindness, love, and faith.
“Those who grieve are blessed because they will find solace.” โ Matthew 5:4
